QR specs + print sizing
We generate standard QR codes (model 2), error correction level M (~15% damage tolerance). Encoding is straight from the URL you submit, no shortening, no analytics injection, no fake redirects.
Print sizing rule of thumb: the QR scans reliably from roughly 10× its printed width. A 1.5cm QR on a business card scans from ~15cm. A 30cm QR on a banner scans from ~3m. Use SVG for any print job above 3cm so quality stays sharp at scale.
Color contrast: minimum 60% luminance difference between foreground and background. Inverted (light QR on dark background) works but reduces scan reliability on cheap scanners.

Is the QR code real?
Yes. Standard QR (model 2, ECC level M by default), generated server-side. Every QR encodes the URL you paste, with no fake redirects.
Can I track scans?
Not from this tool. If you need scan tracking, point the QR at a UTM-tagged URL or a link shortener that exposes analytics. We don't add tracking silently.
What's the right size for print?
Smallest reliable scan distance is roughly 10x the QR's printed size. For a business card, 1.5cm works. For a banner, 30cm+. SVG handles all of these without quality loss.
Will TikTok block scans from QR codes?
No. Scanning a QR opens the URL in the user's default browser, which then redirects to the TikTok app if installed.
